Celebrate Earth Day with Us! Join the Jersey City Free Public Library for a Day of Nature and Learning

- Hudson Chapter Native Plant Society of New Jersey (NPSNJ Hudson)
Activities Include:
- Tree Walk & Talk: A certified arborist will guide you through Van Vorst Park, identifying various trees.
- Beekeeping Presentation: Learn about the vital role of pollinators from a local beekeeper and spot the queen bee in a safe observation hive. (Noon-2:00 PM)
- Native Plant Giveaway: Receive milkweed plugs, seed packets, and learn about native plants and pollinators from NPSNJ Hudson representatives.
- Children’s Bark Rubbing Activity: Kids can create their own tree trunk bark rubbings with paper and crayons.
- Library Table: Sign up for a library card and see a sample tote bag for kids. Pick up your tote in the Bonetti room and select a book to take home!
- Repair Cafe: Try your hand at sewing a button on felt letters that spell "RC."
