Healthy in the Heights series - Understanding Depression In-Person

Depression is a mood disorder that affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and one hallmark of depression is an inability to experience pleasure, which is literally no fun.

It's important to remember that it can happen to anyone, at any age, race, or gender. One out of every six adults will experience depression at some time in their life. Fortunately, depression is treatable.

Join members of the Jersey City Medical Center Staff to learn information about how to recognize the signs of depression and ways to manage the disorder with a mix of psychotherapy, medication, and lifestyle changes
