Collage Workshop In-Person

Join us for a beginner-friendly collaging session hosted by local artist and designer, Mikaela Simon! Mikaela will kick off the session with a brief introduction to the history of collage and provide inspiration and examples for participants to create their own paper masterpieces. All supplies are included.

Mikaela Simon is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Jersey City, NJ under the name doodlealldayy. Working primarily in the medium of collage, Mikaela finds that her background in performing arts helps to inform her creative process. Aesthetics and design exist for her in a three dimensional realm, captured in a two dimensional medium. In 2019, Mikaela earned her BA in Theatre Arts from Drew University, where she spent a significant amount of time designing and writing. When she’s not collaging, she works as a teaching artist with 8th grade students in Paramus, spends time as an audio/visual technician at Liberty Science Center, and sells her original artwork at shows and fairs all over the tri-state area. (Find her work at doodlealldayy.com.) She loves the month of October, cooking in her crockpot, and her dogs, Breezy and Luna
