JCFPL TALK: Featuring Anna Hiddleston and Karina Aguilera Skvirsky In-Person

Join us for a special talk with Anna Hiddleston, Curator at the Centre Pompidou (France), as she explores the stories of foreign artists who shaped the Parisian avant-garde—from Pablo Picasso to Sonia Delaunay, Marc Chagall, and Wifredo Lam. Discover how these visionary creators, many fleeing hardship in their home countries, brought global perspectives that transformed modern art.

The talk will be followed by a conversation with Karina Aguilera Skvirsky, a Jersey City-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the African diaspora, Indigeneity, and colonial legacies through photography and performance.
