Juneteenth Film Screening: American Coup: Wilmington 1898
📅 Tuesday, June 17 · 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Miller Branch Library, 489 Bergen Ave, Jersey City
Join us for a powerful Juneteenth screening of American Coup: Wilmington 1898, a documentary exploring the only successful coup d’état in U.S. history and its continued impact on American democracy.
Following the film, engage in a meaningful conversation with Brad Lichtenstein, the film’s co-director, and Terry B. Hill, JCFPL’s Library Director and North Carolina native. Together, they’ll explore themes of white supremacy, historical erasure, and community resilience..
